I envy the will of people to travel on a budget. I have been to a few places and when I was in Bangkok I spent a few good hours wandering around Khao San which was near my hotel by the river. Some hate this area but I love it. Surreal and real at the same time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8077918758660027342.post-66295906097397152282011-01-25T18:12:29.800+08:002011-01-25T18:12:29.800+08:00@mylovelylife88 wow! that's exciting! have a f...@mylovelylife88 wow! that's exciting! have a fun trip to the land of smiles! And its impossible that you cannot find a room for you or your friends.Walk along Khao San Road and you can find guesthouses and hotels. no hostels in bangkok, if there is one, its expensive. i happent to stay in one along soi 1, its very cheap and its very quiet. if you stay in the middle of the party place in khao san, be prepared for an awful sleep, but again you're already in the center.

the trick is to walk and canvass for a room, look around and see if its a safe place, check the room and ask for a discount. the longer you stay, the cheaper you can get the room per night.

no particular recommendation in mind, because every now and then guesthouses open and close, change names and the accommodations may deteriorate.

Feel free to browse through my Thailand posts, specifically Bangkok, where to stay, where to drink, where to go, etc.

Cheers!Pinoy Boy Journalshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07048202064827552489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8077918758660027342.post-63382341064051585802010-08-15T23:19:28.512+08:002010-08-15T23:19:28.512+08:00hi! can you recommend a good, money-saving accomod...hi! can you recommend a good, money-saving accomodation in Khao san? thanks!dinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8077918758660027342.post-28487529752057438902010-04-07T21:08:40.520+08:002010-04-07T21:08:40.520+08:00hi anon! please see my entries on bangkok, koh pha...hi anon! please see my entries on bangkok, koh pha ngan and koh tao to get a feel how much you're gonna spend.

basically the bulk of your money will be spent on transportation like for example its about 1000 baht from bangkok to koh tao via bus/train and ferry.

accomodations shouldn't cost you more than 500 baht/night. would be cheaper if you're traveling with someone to share the expenses. food is cheap if you know where to find them, worse comes to worse.. there's 7-11. i think P15,000 is more than enough since its just one week, again it depends on how much you spend coz i spend so much in drinks its ok for me to eat noodles the whole day. hehe..

basically just think P1000/day is enough for accomodations, food, transportation just around. you add long distance transpo fee like for trains, bus, taxi, ferry, etc...

with P15,000 you're good to go! just message me here again in my blog if you have some more questions would be happy to help you out for cheap accomodations, itinerary, what to expect. etc.. feel free to read my extensive entry on koh pha ngan and koh tao as well as bangkok to get a feel.

Cheers anon!!!Pinoy Boy Journalshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07048202064827552489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8077918758660027342.post-44098437913664567322010-04-05T13:42:12.163+08:002010-04-05T13:42:12.163+08:00...would like to ask the budget approx for a one w......would like to ask the budget approx for a one week stay in thailand ...destination wil be bangkok to ko pangan to ko tao then back to bangkok...any help will be appreciated---thanksAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
